01 - HMAS Voyager

[Meg]

Indian Ocean, 2200

HMAS Voyager is a modern day aircraft carrier. With over 4000 people on board supporting some 200 pilots the ship is always busy with activity. There is just about everything on board the ship, libraries, games rooms, study rooms, classrooms and even a bank. The current deployment, aslo her first is in the Indian Ocean where local pirate activties have been skyrocketing.

Lieutenant Meg Kreagar and Lieutenant Josh Porter stood up on the flight deck, looking around at the night team scurrying to get the last minute jobs done before everything was locked down for the rest of the night. It was only two months into what would be a very long deployment.

Sub-Lieutenant Kara Wade sat in the ships study room. She had a written exam coming up and was stressing about it.

Leading Hand Alek Campbell sat back in the mission room with his team of highly trained personal. They were much like the US Navy SEAL's. A specalized team ready for combat.

Able Medic Grace Kingston was wrapping up a sailors ankle after he had tripped and fallen down the stairs. It wasnt a bad sprain but needed to be wrapped.

Up on the Bridge, Commander Laura Dorset was watching the controls as well as the flight deck. Her shift was nearly up and she was looking forward to a good nights sleep.

[April]

April stood on the flight deck, her hands on her hips as she glanced around before closing her eyes, taking a deep breath.

Alex stepped onto the bridge and glanced at Laura before looking out the window silently.

Emily sat in the galley and slumped in her seat, looking up at the ceiling.

[Meg]

Meg giggled at something Josh said and hit him playfully, looking out at sea.

Laura smiled at Alex, "Good evening, sir."
-
After finishing with the ankle, Grace signed out, washing up and left sick bay. Her stomach grumbled slightly and she realized she hadnt eat. Grace walked into the galley and looked around. She grinned when she saw Emily and half skipped over.

[April]

April looked out ahead of her, folding her arms.
Rhiann stepped next to her, "you okay?" She asked quietly.
April nodded, "yep."

"Evening," Alex replied. "Everything okay?"

Emily glanced up at her then smiled, "hewwo."

[Meg]

Josh glanced over at April and Rhiann and smiled slightly before looking back at Meg.

Laura smiled, "Yes, sir. Nothing to report."

Grace giggled and sat down, "Hello."

[April]

"He's cute."
April smiled and shook her head, "you think they're all cute." She pointed out and looked over at the two.

"Good," Alex smiled.

"Had fun?"

[Meg]

Meg brought out a picture, "You remember, Josh." She said and chuckled, "Good old AFT."
Josh chuckled and looked at the picture, nudging her with his shoulder.

Laura smiled and looked down at the flight deck. All the jets were down below and the deck crew had gone off. Only a few pilots could be seen lingering on the deck.

"Oh definitely." Grace giggled, "What about you?"

[April]

Rhiann put a hand on April's shoulder before turning and walking off the deck.
April watched her then looked up, silently.

Alex glanced at the flight deck, smiling lightly.

"Meh," Emily giggled.

[Meg]

Josh smiled at the photo again, "Never know, may see some of them out here." He said lightly.
Meg smiled, "Maybe."

Kara walked out onto the flight deck, needing some air. She sighed softly and accidentally bumped into April, "Oh, sorry ma'am."

Grace smiled, "Found any cuteys yet?" She said playfully.

[April]

April jumped slightly then smiled, "it's okay."

"A few," Emily giggled. "You?"

[Meg]

Kara smiled and looked out to sea, "Beautiful night."

Grace giggled, "Well there is this one guy. He's in supplies and came into the sick bay earlier today and wow. Didnt catch his name. Just saw he was an Ensign."

[April]

April smiled and nodded, "yeah, it is."
-
Emily giggled, "we'll have to scout him out." She said playfully.

[Meg]

Meg said goodbye to Josh and went inside to finish a report.

Kara smiled and looked out at sea again. Josh stepped up to them, "Good evening." He said lightly.

Grace giggled and nodded.

[April]

April glanced at Josh then looked back ahead, "evenin'."

Emily giggled.

[Meg]

Josh smiled, "How's everything?" He said and glanced at Kara who looked down at sea, feeling nervous in front of the two lieutenants.

Meg grabbed her report. As part of being a new fighter pilot and a transfer she was required to give in weekly reports to her CO. Meg glanced it over then walked up to the Bridge.

Grace leaned back in her chair slightly then jumped up. "Need food." She said quickly.
