Matt stroked her cheek gently, "I'll be home in an hour, okay?"

Chloe nodded, straitening herself, "I'm fine, ma'am." She said, bearing April's weight again, "We have to keep moving."

Josh looked outside, "I sure as hell hope so."

Zoe nodded slightly and kissed his cheek gently, "I love you." She said softly.

April bit her lip then nodded slightly, trying to take some more of her own weight slowly.

Rhiann smiled, "she loves you and the girls too much to leave."

Zoe pulled away slightly and looked at him then turned and walked away, rubbing the back of her neck.

April bit her lip, feeling tears come to her eyes as everything started to become more difficult to do.

Rhiann looked at him then nudged his shoulder lightly with her own, "don't loose faith in her, Josh." She said softly.

Five Hours Later
Chloe was forced to stop as she ran out of breath. Her ribs screamed at her and she glanced at April, gently letting her down before collapsing.

Josh sat down in the apartment, cradling the girls silently.
-
Matt was back in the apartment, sipping at a cup of water.

April closed her eyes tightly, putting a hand to her chest as she caught her breath.

Rhiann knocked on the door gently, biting her lip.

Zoe walked out the bedroom, pulling the robe around her, she glanced out the window.

Chloe opened up the pack and brought out the bottles of water, handing one to April. She gently sipped her own bottle and took a deep breath.

Josh looked up and gently lowered the girls into their car seats before walking over and opening the door.

Matt looked over at her silently.

Chloe leaned back and closed her eyes briefly. She glanced over at April and pulled the survival blanket over her again.

Josh smiled softly, "The girls are sleeping."

Chloe looked around, "I think we should stay put the rest of the night, ma'am. It's gone quiet." She said softly.

Chloe pulled another survival blanket over herself and shifted close to April to try and conserve heat.

Josh sat down silently and looked at the floor.

April looked up at the sky for a moment then closed her eyes.

Rhiann watched him then walked over and sat next to him, "how you holding up?" She asked softly.
