Meg looked around before starting the speech, "Welcome back everybody and welcome to the new pilots on their first carrier deployments." She said, looking towards the back at the newer pilots, "I'm Lieutenant Commander Kreagar and I will be your commanding officer for the duration of this deployment." She said and looked around at the pilots, "Are there any questions at this point?"

Josh looked at the pilots, "Welcome all. I'm Lieutenant Commander Porter. Your CO."

Grace drove silently.

Kara grinned, "That's good."

Ben glanced back at the newer pilots then at Rhiann who offered a small smile.

Zoe looked at Josh for a moment then glanced around.

Emily pulled up a few minutes later and let the kids out, "don't run off."

Roxy smiled and nodded lightly, glancing out the window.

Meg watched them for a moment, "You're all aware of where we're going. And what we're doing" She said softly, "The thing you may not know, is that by the end of this deployment we will be a very tight team. You will not forget the members of this squadron."

Josh glanced at them, "This will be the best squadron of this ship. You will go out and perform your duties. You know this mission. I'm not going to go through it all with you. Follow your orders, keep a low profile and you will make it through this deployment."

Grace pulled up and carried Bree into McDonalds.

Kara smiled, "You doing okay?"

Ben smiled lightly and glanced back at Meg, listening silently.

Zoe bit her lip and glanced at the table.

Belle stood on her chair and waved at Grace, giggling lightly.

Roxy nodded slightly, "yeah.. I have my moments." She said lightly.

Meg took a breath, "The reason being, the missions we are about to undertake are dangerous. They may seem wrong. But this is what you are trained to do, this is what you volunteered to do. Now for the next two weeks we'll be pretty quiet. No flights but I expect when you are not sleeping, eating, taking a crap you will be in this ready room and studying. I want no mistakes. Listen to the orders, keep up with assignments. Keep your eyes and ears open. Pay attention and most of all listen to my advise and you will go home to your families. Is this understood?"

Josh looked at them all, "You will be required to work hard. There is not time for fun and games. Now go unpack and I will be expecting to see all of you at some point."

Grace smiled and walked over.

Kara smiled softly.

Zoe bit her lip and rubbed her forehead slightly, sitting up.

Emily walked over and put the food down in front of the kids, smiling.

Roxy bit her lip, "Kara, if I tell you something.. It'll be between us, right?"

Ben got up and walked out silently.

Zoe looked up at him then stood up and left the room silently.

Belle giggled and ate silently, looking around.
Jacob grinned and played with his toy.

Roxy bit her lip and glanced out the window, "I had a miscarriage." She said softly.

Rhiann caught sight of Zoe and caught up with her, "you alright?"
"No," Zoe complained. "Can we swap? Josh is kinda scary."
Rhiann rolled her eyes lightly and patted her shoulder.

"Strange children," Emily complained lightly.

Roxy shook her head, "I wouldn't know how to.."

Chloe walked up to them, "She wasn't that bad...minus the whole if you dont work together and do what you're told you will die."

Kara put a hand on her shoulder gently, "Roxy..." She said softly, loosing the words.

Zoe blinked, "she said that?" She said, "Josh just told us we will do what we're told. I felt like I was in school again."

Roxy shook her head slowly, "how do you tell someone you lost their baby?" She asked softly and bit her lip, "how can anyone apologise enough for that?"

Chloe giggled lightly, "Maybe you are. Meg had an interesting technique, dont you think ma'am?" She asked Rhiann.

Grace bit her lip slightly. Ever since being told about the award, the day that she lost her leg kept replaying in her mind.

Kara hugged her friend gently, "It happens, Roxy." She said softly, "Ryan wont blame you for this. It wasn't your fault."

Meg stepped back out after a while and smiled at Rhiann softly.
Chloe saw Meg and bit her lip, "Ma'am." She acknowledged and came to attention briefly before walking away, pulling Zoe with her.

Josh walked over to Ben, "Meg scare you all?" He asked lightly.

Grace blinked and nodded, "Yeah. I just...cant stop thinking about it."

Kara held her gently, "You can't blame yourself for this, Roxy. It happens."
