Grace smiled softly at Ben and then looked back at Bree who giggled innocently.
Kara smiled softly and watched them.

Dec smiled and shook his head, "I thought you were done with this place?"
"Not till I'm old and gray by the looks of it," Ben complained. "Checkups. Guess they want to make sure my brain still works."
"Is this where I resist a comment?"
"Yes."

Belle clapped and giggled, "and I help mummy get food and make it look pretty." She nodded.

Grace grinned lightly and rubbed Bree's back as she buried her face back into her shoulder, feeling her drift back to sleep. Grace held her close and closed her eyes, trying to stop herself crying again.
Kara watched Grace and bit her lip slightly, knowing she was meant to be in Kenya and by the looks of wearing the camo she assumed she'd only just returned.

Ben watched them silently, "welcome back, Grace." He said lightly, "love the camo."
Dec grinned lightly and kissed the side of her head gently.

Emily pulled a face, "Belle that's gross."
Belle giggled innocently.

Grace looked at him, "Stop perving." She teased lightly. Bree shifted again and looked up at Grace innocently.
"You okay honey?" Grace asked softly and rubbed her back.
"My back hurts." She pouted innocently.
Grace gently turned her around and kissed her back a few times gently, smiling when Bree giggled brightly.
Grace smiled and held her gently as she buried her face back into her shoulder. Grace rubbed the back of her shoulders gently.
A doctor stepped into the waiting room and looked around, "Breanna Yamada?" He said and looked around.
Grace bit her lip and stood up, holding Bree close.
Kara watched Grace with her daughter and bit her lip. She gently took Ben's hand. It was hard enough seeing him go through it all but she couldn't imagine seeing Hayley or Caleb go through it all.

Alek chuckled lightly and kissed the top of Belle's head gently "Do you think we should get a bouncy castle or something like that?" he asked softly, putting an arm around her. He couldn't shake the overwhelming feeling of relief that it wasn't Belle, but then felt guilty.

Josh gently put Chase back in the playpen after giving him something to eat for lunch and walked back over to the table. He looked through a pamphlet that he had been given. It was from a local riding therapy centre and he was thinking of how it would benefit Abby to go there once a week.

Ben squeezed her hand gently and kissed the side of her head.
Dec stood up and walked out the waiting room.

Belle nodded innocently, "yeah!" She giggled.

April walked into the apartment with the groceries and grumbled as Katie squeezed past and ran through the house.

Grace followed the doctor into his office and took a seat, "Hi Bree." The doctor said, "I'm doctor Carter."
Bree looked up and waved innocently.
The doctor smiled and looked at Grace and Dec.

Kara watched them go, "Poor people." She said softly and looked at Ben silently, stroking his cheek gently.

Alek grinned brightly and kissed the top of her head again.

Josh looked over and smiled, standing up and taking one of the bags from her to unpack.

Dec smiled and ruffled Bree's hair gently before looking at the doctor.

Belle giggled and clapped, "who can come?"

April smiled and put the bag down as she unpacked it, "has Abby come out her room yet?" She asked softly, knowing when she left, Abby was keeping herself busy in her room with her drawings.

The doctor offered then a smile, "Okay, so I know the next few things I will tell you will be confusing. At this point, Breanna will be admitted into the childrens hospital on Monday for a series of tests and to start her chemo. The main point of this is to get the cancer into remission." He explained softly, "This will involve a series of tests including a spinal tap." He said softly.
Grace blinked and held their daughter closely as she fell asleep again.
"This first process will take about a month to get the cancer into remission. She wont have to spend the whole time in hospital though."

Kara smiled softly at him and kissed his shoulder a few times.

Alek chuckled, "Who would you like to come?"

Josh shook his head, "I havn't seen her yet."

Dec bit his lip and nodded slightly as he listened.

Ben smiled then glanced up as his doctor appeared in the doorway, he squeezed Kara's hand gently and stood.

"I not know."
Emily patted her head, "of course you do." She said playfully, "Jacob's not the only one with a crush."
"I don't have a crush!"

April bit her lip then nodded and leaned against the counter after she finished putting the stuff away.

Grace kissed the top of Bree's head gently.
The doctor looked between them and bit his lip slightly the bad news coming, "I have to be completely honest with both of you. And I know this is hard." The doctor paused, "At this point, the cancer is pretty advanced. We rarely see children make it past their sixth birthday."
Grace blinked and felt tears fall down her face.

Kara stood up with him and kissed his shoulder quickly.

Alek looked down at her, "Oh, who do you have a crush on?" He asked lightly.

Josh brought the pamphlet over, "April, I found this. Do you think it'd be good?" He said softly handing it to her.

Dec blinked a few times then looked at Grace, taking her hand silently.

Ben smiled and followed the doctor out.

"No one," Belle pouted. "Mummy hush."
"Belle's taking a liking to Zander," Emily said lightly.
"Mum!"

April blinked slightly and looked at it before smiling lightly, "worth a try at least." She said softly, "we have to do something."

Grace kissed the top of Bree's head a few times gently and looked at Dec.
The doctor bit his lip slightly, "Now, she's due to be in the hospital at 9am on Monday. She'll probably be admitted for the rest of the week."
Grace nodded, "It's her birthday on the Friday, is it possible for her to go home by then?" She asked softly.
The doctor nodded, "Discharge time is at 5pm so she'll go home then."

Ben grumbled as he sat down in the office.
"I won't keep you long," the doctor complained lightly. "Stop grumbling."
Ben pouted and sat up, "I'm fine, doc."
"I know, but you need to be checked up on every so often, you know that."

Belle pouted, "I don't daddy. She's lying."
"Then we won't invite him then."
"Please!" Belle pouted.

The doctor smiled and handed them some information booklets, "Read through these and you'll understand more about her illness." He said softly and looked between them, "Do you have any questions at this point?"
Grace shook her head.
