Meg blinked then took a few steps up, taking his arm, "Dont just dismiss me like that. You could at least explain to me, sir. Where the hell were you every time after we made love? You ran off, disapeared. I'd come over and you'd run away. Why couldnt you just tell me you didn't love me? Why couldn't you just tell me that there was someone else?" Meg asked, tears springing to her eyes, her face only inches from his.

Rhiann shifted and kissed down his chest lightly.

Alex watched her then blinked, "you think I was cheating on you?" He asked, "you really think I would have done that to you? I loved you, Meg, I still do. There wasn't anyone else, just you." He sighed and closed his eyes, "I was scared, Meg, that's all."

Rhiann moved lower, resting her hands on his hips.

Alex shook his head, "I never was good enough for you and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't shake that feeling. I was so scared you were going to up and leave me that I let it get in the way. I'm sorry for that but I obviously wasn't wrong either." He said quietly and looked at her.

"Oh don't be," Roxy smiled and patted her shoulder gently. "He'll be a fool not to want you."

Jeff groaned again softly.

Meg took his hand gently, "I was scared too, Alex." Meg admitted softly, "Scared of being hurt. When you kept disapearing, I came to conclussions and...I just didnt want to look stupid."

Kara sighed, "But...after Jake....it just...I said no more guys. I'd be married right now if he wasnt off with some other woman."

Rhiann continued what she was doing, glancing up at him.

Alex shook his head and pulled his hand free, "you got what you wanted, Meg.. Don't worry about it, the past is the past I guess."

Roxy smiled and put an arm around her friend, "I know, Kara, but you can't write off men all together over one asshole."

Rhiann pulled back a few minutes later, moving back up to him.

Alex sighed softly and watched her, resisting an overwhelming urge to hold her and just kiss her, "never think I didn't love you, Meg, because I did, I do."

Lucas groaned and sat up, "yes Roxy?"

Lucas muttered and got up, walking over.
