ONE YEAR LATER
Grace got settled in her room. After a year she managed to get her own private room on board the USNS Mercy. She turned on her laptop, hoping Dec would be online at home knowing it was evening there.

Kara had returned from a rough flight. She sighed softly and got into her room. After her promotion to Lieutenant she managed to get better accommodation.

Meg was in the pilots rec room on the new base, getting ready for a night flightl

Dec flicked his laptop on as he flopped onto the chair, rubbing the back of his neck.

Ben sat on the sofa as he flicked through the channels, sighing heavily.

Grace grinned when she saw him come online and opened up Skype, requesting a video call.

Dec glanced up then accepting, grinning lightly.

Grace grinned, "Hey." She said lightly and leaned back in her seat lightly, "How are you going?"

Kara heard gunshots and an explosion in the distance, sighing softly. The noises becoming all too familier.

Grace shrugged, "It's been pretty busy around here. We're docking on Somalia tomorrow." She said, biting her lip slightly.

Kara got up, heading down the hall to phone Ben. She inserted the coins and dialed his new number in Cairns.

Grace smiled softly and rubbed her forehead slightly, "Not hot chicks on Stainsen then?" She asked lightly.
