Dec grinned and nodded, standing to give Alek a hand.

Grace grinned lightly, feeling confident for her daughters future for the first time in years. Though she knew the cancer wasn't entirely gone, she had hope now.
Alek smiled, "This is a big mile stone." He said softly.

"There's hope for her and Jacob after all," Dec grinned.
"Oh don't, I feel old just thinking about it," Emily giggled.

"You look.. Surprisingly chirpy," Harrison said lightly, watching Zoe.
Zoe bit her lip and nodded, "cause I'm pregnant." She said and glanced at Matt.

Alex chuckled, "daddy's better now he's home."

Ben held her gently and kissed her neck a few times playfully.

Alek chuckled lightly, "How old do kids normally do it these days?"
Grace bit her lip, "Too young. She needs to be at least a teenager, preferably 16 but I doubt I'd get that."

Kara watched the twins working on their homework silently and smiled.

Seven Months Later
Matt stepped out of the nursery after finishing it off. All it needed was some toys, blankets and nappies. He grinned brightly and looked around.

Grace sat down on the bed, exhausted after being on shift. She had found out from the doctor two days earlier that Bree's cancer was back once again and she would need another surgery and more chemo over the coming months. Grace once again felt exhausted and a sense of letting her daughter down again.

Zoe rubbed her stomach as she walked through the living room, wincing slightly.

Dec walked into the room and sat next to her silently, kissing the side of her head gently.

Matt looked over, "You okay honey?" He asked softly.

Grace looked at Dec silently, "This isn't fair." She said and felt tears come back to her eyes again.

Zoe nodded, "baby's laying funny, it's uncomfortable."

Dec nodded and touched her cheek gently, "I know." He said softly, "she fought it once, she'll fight it again."

"I hate you!" Jacob yelled as he ran into his room.
Emily closed her eyes then jumped when he slammed his bedroom door shut. She sighed softly and looked back at Alek.

Emily sighed, "I told him he couldn't go see Bree and to give her some rest."
