Two Months Later
Breanna sat on the sofa of the apartment and looked around innocently. She yawned again and snuggled into the pillow. She had an appointment with her doctor in an hour about the results of her blood work.
Alek was in the apartment to look after Tyler while Emily and Dec went to get Breanna's results. He was worried for Bree, but not nearly as worried as Dec was.

Grace was in her shared cabin, sitting on the bed and looking blankly at the floor. She had got the letter saying Breanna was sick and that the doctor didn't know what it was so more tests were run. She knew the appointment was that day and was worried sick.

Chloe flopped down next to Zoe with a cup of Diet Coke and looked at her, "How're you doing?"

Matt knocked on Harrison's door quietly. He missed Zoe like crazy and was sick of sitting around their apartment looking at everything that reminded him of her.

Dec walked over and leaned over the back of the sofa, kissing the top of her head gently.

Nikki walked into the cabin and looked over at her then bit her lip, "you okay?"
-
Zoe grumbled slightly, "60 days till I can go home." She said softly.

Harrison got up then walked over and answered the door.

Bree offered a weak smile and snuggled back into the sofa.
Alek gently put Tyler down and walked over to Dec, "You okay?" He asked softly, concerned for his friend.

Grace wiped her face quickly, "No, not really." She admitted and looked up at Nikki who had been a very close friend over the deployment.

Chloe smiled, "Counting down." She said lightly.

Matt smiled, "Hey." He said softly.

Dec sighed and shook his head silently, glancing at Alek, "not really." He whispered softly.

Nikki walked over and sat next to her, "heard anything from your husband?" She asked softly.

Zoe nodded, "have been since I left." She admitted lightly.

Harrison smiled, "hey, come on in."

Alek bit his lip, "Do you want me to call Emily and see if she'll go with you?" He asked softly.

Grace closed her eyes, "I just got this letter." She said softly and sniffed, "Breanna...she's sick and they're doing some special tests. The docs don't know what it is."

Chloe grinned, "Me too."

Matt smiled softly and stepped in, glancing at Liam, "How are you doing Harry?"

Nikki blinked slightly, "Oh Grace." she said softly and hugged her friend.

Zoe giggled lightly and closed her eyes.

Alek nodded and sent Emily a text.
Breanna appeared by the door and looked up at her father silently.

Grace leaned into her, squeezing her eyes shut, "I should be there."

Chloe nudged her lightly, "You just miss the sex." Chloe teased.

Matt sighed, "I don't know what to do with myself."

Dec looked over then walked over and lifted Bree up gently.

Nikki hugged her gently, "I know." She said softly.

Zoe smiled sadly, "we rarely have sex anymore." She said softly.

Harrison chuckled, "have my kids. They'll keep you busy."

Bree snuggled into him and closed her eyes again, "Why daddy sad?" She asked innocently.
Alek finished sending the text and put his phone down again.

Grace gave a shaky sigh and bit her lip, "I've got a booking with the phone later so I can call after the appointment."

Chloe bit her lip, "I'm sure you will when ya get back."

Matt smiled sadly and looked at Liam.

Dec kissed the top of her head gently, "daddy's not sad honey." He said softly.

Nikki nodded, "I'm sure it's going to be okay." She said softly.

Zoe smiled sadly, "maybe."

"Half way though," Harrison said. "She'll be home before you know it."

Alek stepped back out, "Emily's on her way over now." He said softly and watched Dec with his daughter, hoping everything would be okay.
Bree nodded and snuggled into him. She closed her eyes again, feeling sleepy.

Dec put her down gently then looked up as Emily poked her head in the door, "hey you."
Emily smiled and stepped in, "hey."

Zoe giggled lightly, "I'd be worried if you were missing my husband."

Harrison nodded, "he's amazing." He said and glanced back at Matt, "did you and Zoe ever talk about other ways of having kids?"

Breanna looked over at giggled, walking over to her. In the last few weeks especially she'd been finding it more difficult and painful to walk and it was becoming obvious in her walking.

Grace looked down at the drawing that Breanna had given her before she went away.
