Roxy bit her lip, "okay I guess. I haven't been able to talk to him much, he shuts off from everyone so quickly."

Dec smiled and looked at her for a moment, "be careful." He said softly before ending the call.

Alex opened his eyes then smiled slightly, "you're early."

Kara looked away from the phone booth outside, "Maybe he should see someone." She said softly.

Grace bit her lip as she looked at a blanc screen and closed her eyes tightly.

Meg smiled, "Yeah. Weather was too bad to launch our jets."

Dec sighed and touched his screen for a moment then got up and walked into the bedroom.

Alex nodded slightly and sat up, "fair enough."

Kara bit her lip, "Only way I'm leaving here early is if I'm injured or dead." She said, closing her eyes.

Grace turned off her computer and went over to the bed, collapsing in it.

"Then he can mope around all he wants for two years," Roxy said lightly. "We're here if he needs us, he knows that."

Kara sighed softly, "I wish I wasn't here. I'm gunna need a big hug when I get back." She said lightly.

Meg grinned, "You'd feel better if you had your tea." She said playfully and picked up the mug, taking it into the kitchen.

Kara grinned, "Can't wait already. I've gotta go. The line for the phone has kinda built up." She said, knowing she wasnt the only one who needed to phone home.

Meg stepped back in after a moment and smiled, "Was really hoping to get the Lightning back up today." She said, talking about the latest fighter jet programme she was involved in. "If we continue with this, the date to test in the real field is gunna be put back a while."

Kara hung up the phone and took a moment to regain herself before she stepped back down the hall.

Meg smiled, "I suppose." She said playfully pouting.

Roxy turned back to where Ben was standing then walked out the room.
Ben bit his lip.

Kara sat down in her room which was shared with a few other pilots on small stretchers on the floor. She got out a pen and paper, choosing to write.

Meg smiled, "I know. It's just the longer we put it off the longer I'm stuck with this programme. And the more chances it'll be me that gets sent off with them to the carrier. At least now we have Gannon and Stanton." She said, sighing softly, knowing the two other Lieutenants would soon be senior enough to have their own programmes.
