Rhiann sat and rubbed the back of her neck.

"I did, Josh," April said softly and leaned her head back. "You'd think after so many years, I'd be over not having a mother."

Meg smiled and finished studying the flight plans. She glanced up as Jeff walked over towards them.

Josh squeezed her hand, "You don't have to go out there." He whispered softly.

Rhiann glanced up at Jeff then smiled.

April sighed softly and rested her head on his shoulder silently, biting her lip.

Jeff returned the smile to Rhiann before turning to Meg, "You got clearence to launch?" He asked.
Meg nodded, "Yep. Heading up in another 25 minutes if the weather doesnt get worse." She said.
Jeff sighed, "I dont like it, Lieutenant. A cross wind would tear that jet apart and your testing it."
Meg shrugged, "Kill two birds with one stone. The Lightning needs to be tested in strong winds anyway."
Jeff sighed, "Just be careful, Lieutenant. I dont want a pilot dying on my watch." He said, quite roughly.

Josh soothed her gently, half listening to Jeff.

Rhiann bit her lip and looked at Jeff then ahead.

April shifted to bury her face in the side of his neck gently.

Meg offered a reasurring smile, "You wont." She said and nodded and left the room. Meg bit her lip and glanced at Rhiann.

Rhiann bit her lip, "you better be okay out there or he'll be pissed." She said lightly.

Meg grinned, "I think a lot of people will be pissed." She said, "But I need to get this project moving otherwise it'll get canned for carrier deployments."
