Meg got up, "Wanna come out to the bay?" She asked as she pulled the harness over her flightsuit.

Josh watched her then looked back at Meg.

Rhiann nodded, "sure." She said as she stood up.

Meg smiled and started walking to the hanger bay to get her jet ready. A few techs were running around. She started to check out the exterior of the jet when a huge clap of thunder made the room shake.

Meg grinned and pulled her helmet on, securing it in place.

Upstairs, Charlie chose to call Alex, letting him know that jets were launching.

Rhiann shook her head playfully, "definatly weird." She said lightly.

April bit her lip as she stepped in, "I can come back?"
Alex waved a hand and closed the door, walking over to the phone.

Meg chuckled and climbed up into the jet, "I'll see you in a few hours."

"Alex, it's Charlie. Just letting you know we're launching aircraft now." He said, glancing outside as the rain intensified.

Rhiann nodded, "be careful, Meg."

Alex blinked and glanced out the window, "Charlie, there's a bloody storm going on out there, who's mad enough to fly out in that?"

Meg nodded, "Always." She said, securing the harnesses in the jet as she glanced at the picture of Zander that stayed in the jet.

Charlie gulped slightly, "Lieutenant Kreagar."

Rhiann smiled and took a step back, folding her arms.

Alex groaned, "Charlie.." He complained and rubbed his forehead.

Meg saluted her playfully.
Josh stepped behind Rhiann and bit his lip.

"Alex, the jet is safe. She got a message saying that the project for Lightnings being on carriers will be dumped if she falls too far behind. The Lightning needs to be tested in heavy winds anyway."

Rhiann smiled and shook her head lightly, glancing back at Josh then ahead again.

Alex sighed, "okay, if you're sure." He said, pushing his forehead against the wall slightly.
April bit her lip and watched before glancing outside.

Meg taxied the jet outside, doing the pre-flight checks.
Josh sighed, "Wanna go to ops?" He asked.

Charlie glanced outside, "I'm sure. And so is the Lieutenant. You need to trust her."

Rhiann nodded and put a hand on his arm before turning and walking to ops silently.

"Yeah I trusted my wife when she went out in a storm, look how that ended," Alex complained.

Meg checked the specs and finished prepping, heading towards the runway.
Josh followed her silently, stepping into Ops after a moment and watching the runway video.

"This is different. Different jet...different...pilot." He said quietly.
