Meg closed her eyes and sighed, stepping away from him, knowing she wouldnt win. She stepped into the kitchen and started making dinner for Zander.

Meg put Zander's food on the table, sitting him in his booster seat. She smiled and bit her lip as he played with his food. Meg stood back up and walked over to Alex quietly, "I'm sorry, Alex. I'm sorry that this job is dangerous. I wish it wasn't. But it is. I don't want to leave you and Zander behind." She said softly, putting her hand on his.

Alex looked at her for a moment then sighed and rested his forehead against hers, putting his hands on her sides, "sorry." He said softly.
